On Thursday, January 5, 2012, the U.S. EPA Administrator, Lisa Jackson, met with Alterna President, Nick Gunia, to tour the Brownsville Transit Village project site, a 466 unit affordable housing development in Miami, where Alterna supplied all of the project’s high efficiency plumbing fixtures. After the event with Administrator Jackson, Alterna President Nick Gunia remarked, “As a US EPA WaterSense program partner since 2008, it was a dream come true for our work at Brownsville Transit Village to be recognized by the head of the U.S. EPA.”
